Head coach Anambra state wrestling association, Emeka Obidinma has urged Nigerians in diaspora to rally round Nigeria duo Blessing Oborududu and Odunayo Adekuoroye at the World’s Wrestling Championship scheduled to hold from September 7 to 12, in Las Vegas USA.
Obidinma said the call was made necessary due to the fact that Nigerians outside the shores of Africa usually throw their weight behind their adopted countries.
“It is a good thing if we always encourage our athletes. I hereby plead with Nigerians in the United State Of America (USA) especially those in Las Vegas to support our girls” said Obidinma.
“The girls have done their part and we in Nigeria will pray earnestly for both of them to shock star wrestlers at the World Wrestling Championship” added Obidinma.
The chief coach noted that he is certain that coaches and the federation have played their parts and it is left for the girls to put in their best.
Nigeria is in USA with a three-man delegation led by; Purity Akuh (coach), five-time Africa champion, Blessing Oborududu (63Kg) and Africa champion, Odunayo Adekuoroye who will compete in the 53Kg.
