Minister of youth and sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung has warned against politicization of sports in Nigeria.
The minister called on state governors and government appointees to invest their security votes in sports development.
He added that the federal government cannot fund sports alone stressing that Nigerians must do all that is possible to attract investors to various states and country to help build sports infrastructure and train sports men.
According to him, any government that fails to invest in youth development is investing in crime.
He also warned those who do not have any business with sports to distance themselves as they help to truncate it, stressing that stakeholders should be allowed to better the sector.
The minister called on administrators to shun corruption which is one evil that scare away these investors.
