The first phase of the trails took place on Monday (22nd February) while the final trails will be on the 29th February, 2016 (Monday).

According to the national coach, Tony Konyegwachie, the ongoing trials would help the technical crew to assess the boxers with the aim of picking the best that would represent the country.

He expressed satisfaction on the quality of boxers in camp adding that the nation will present a formidable squad.

He added that there are more trials to be conducted before some of the boxers are decamped to give room for the final phase of the training.
