The Nigeria Taekwondo Family has congratulated Supreme Grandmaster Seung Wan Lee on his emergence as President Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA).
Grand Master George Ashiru in a congratulatory message on behalf of all Taekwondo instructors in Nigeria, said he believes that the election of Supreme Grandmaster Seung Wan Lee would affect Africa most especially Nigeria positively.
Ashiru added that coincidentally the Jidokwan will be celebrating its 70th existence on the 1st March, 2016 adding that Seung Wan Lee laid a solid foundation for Taekwondo in the world.
“The Nigerian Taekwondo Family congratulates our great grandfather, the Kwang Jang Nim and President of Jidokwan, and former President of the Kukkiwon who has just been elected as President of the Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA)”.
Supreme Grandmaster Seung Wan Lee a pioneer and famous Korean Taekwondo champion will be leading the celebration of Jidokwan’s 70 year of existence in March. He is almost 80 years old and still trains every day.
Ashiru said the Nigeria Taekwondo Family looks forward to a greater relationship with the KTA.
Coincidentally, the new President of Korea Taekwondo is the grandmaster of Korean expert in Nigeria, Ashiru said.
On 10 December 2009, Seung Wan Lee of the Jidokwan was elected as Kukkiwon’s President.
