The Nigeria Boxing team have arrive Cameroon with 10 boxers who will fight for Rio 2016 slots in the Olympic qualifier.
The Olympic qualifier is scheduled to hold from 11th-19th March, 2016 in Yaounde, Cameroon
The 10 boxers are made up of seven (7) men and three (3) women which included three of the 2015 Congo Brazzaville All Africa Games gold medalists and 2 Silver medalists.
In the women category are 2015 All Africa Games gold medalist, Nigeria Army Officer, Edith Ogoke-Agu and her two Nigerian Army counterparts, Kehinde Obareh (Gold medalist) and Caroline Linus (Silver medalist).
While in the male category, Efe Ajagba (Gold medalist), Efetobor Apochi (Silver medalist), Korede Adeniji, Kazeem Soyoye, Muyideen Oyakojo , Sadiq Umar and Abua Christian.
The Boxing team is led by its Vice-President, Ibrahim Zango and four officials who are; head coach Tony Konyegwachie and his assistants Adurah Olalehin, Mohammed Sabo and Friday Ossai.
Zango said they expect stiff opposition from other African countries in Cameroon and urged the Nigerian boxers to ensure they qualify for the Olympics in Brazil later in the year.
