Team Nigeria Judoka, Eniafe Solomon has solicited for attendance of international tournaments for the nation’s performing athletes .
According to Eniafe, the last international championship Nigeria attended was in 2013 asides the 2015 All Africa Games held in Congo.
It will be recalled that Eniafe Solomon (60kg) male category, won a bronze medal at the 2013 Mauritius International Judo Open.
Enaife who spoke with naijacombatcorner said Judokas in the country still train irrespective of their non participation in invitational tournament.
He added that the only way to access athletes is for the federation to engage them in tournament.
“We are ready to make Nigeria proud only if we are given the opportunity to represent our great country Nigeria” he said.
The Kogi born athlete said it’s quite unfortunate that Nigeria missed crucial tournaments in the month of March
Nigeria has missed two crucial tournaments; the international Tournament of Yaoundé in Cameroon held from 5th-6th March, 2016 and the African Open in Casablanca, Morocco and is set to miss the Senegal Tournament in Dakar.
