Ahead of the much anticipated Africa Wrestling heavyweight title defense, members of Isoko Development Union I Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State has pledged to give their full support to their son, Godspower Ikpide (Power Lee) to enable him successfully defend the title against his challenger, Marvelous Buffalo of Angola.

The bout is to hold on the 1st of May, 2016 at the Asaba Township Stadium, Delta state.

President General of the Union, High Chief Iduh Amadhe gave the assurance when Power Lee visited him and members of his executive council at his Uzede residence.

The high chief said they are going to mobilize all indigenes of Isoko land both at home and in the Diaspora to support Power Lee and ensure he brings glory to the country.

According to the former chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, all the entire sons and daughters of Isoko land are happy with the achievement of their son and will not relent in supporting him rule the world in the mats man game.

Earlier in his speech at the occasion, Power Lee who explained that his wrestling exploits started through traditional wrestling at Ofosu, a boundary town between Ondo and Edo State where he represented his community before moving to Lagos in 1987 where he became an amateur wrestler and then a professional wrestler in 1990, promised not to disappoint Nigerians.

Power Lee was later invited as one of the guest to the official visit of the Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Ikenwoli 1 to the Palace of the Ovie of Ozoro Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Barrister Anthony Uvietoborie Ogbogbo where he was officially introduced to the Olu and other kings by the President General and Okpuzo Romanus Ejirememe Inana, the Odiologbo of Owhe Kingdom.

The kings after praying for him, gave him royal blessings with a promise that they will be at the ring side to cheer him to victory.
