Olympics Qualifier; 7 female weightlifters resumes Camp

Ahead of the Africa weightlifting qualifier scheduled for Cameroon, the Nigeria Weightlifting Federation has named seven (7) female lifters who will represent the nation.

The qualifier is for Yaoundé, Cameroon from 12th to 20th May, 2016.

Mariam Usman and Victoria Adesanmi will lead 5 other lifters to increase the tally of the team to the games as they camp in Abuja.

Others are; Balikis Otnula, Chineye Fidelis, Rachael Sylvester, Monica Uweh and Fatima Yakubu.

It will be recalled that Chineye Fidelis at the 2011 National Sport Festival set a national record which is yet to be broken.

Mariam Usman and Victoria Adesanmi have already qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

They both gained their slots from Olympic qualifiers staged in the Houston, Texas, U.S., in November.
