Coordinator, Agoma Open Martial Arts Festival, Emmanuel Oghenejobo said 10 states and 2 clubs are expected to compete in the poomsae and fight events.
They include; Ogun, Kebbi, Niger, Benue, Rivers, Ebonyi and Kano as participating states, PANAMAI and UNIBEN clubs.
The event is scheduled to take place between June 3 and June 4 as the open will be staged in the Knock-Up Hall, National Stadium, Lagos.
Oghenejobo said the weigh-in ceremony by practitioners is on Thursday.
He said the events will have over 250 participants
Poomsae is a series of alternate offence and defence techniques in martial arts.
According to him, the participants will compete in their appropriate categories to ascertain their weights.
The categories will incorporate junior, cadet and minor categories.
He said that only taekwondo would take place, as against the previous editions, where kickboxing, karate and wushu kungfu were included.
Oghenejobo said that an electronic-scoring system would be used during the competition.
