Ladies in sport to hold maiden conference in Lagos on Friday

The maiden edition of Ladies in sport (LIS) Sports conference will hold on Friday 17th june 2016 at  Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

In a statement signed by the Founder, LadiesMarch Africa, Janine Anthony noted that the conference is geared towards celebrating, motivating and equipping women to be the best they can be in the world of sporting activities.

Janine also noted that the LIS 2016 conference was targeted towards athletes from all sports and the Sports media for training in sports medicine, anti-doping, Public Relation Branding and physiotherapy.

Janine Anthony who is also a Radio Host on Inspiration 92.3 FM Lagos said it is an avenue for sports women and administrators of women in Sports to develop and improve talent and the industry through education, training and a structured reward system.

Guest Speakers at the conference are; FIFA Exco and Asian Football Confederation Vice-President, Moya Dodd; Freelance Journalist Vox Africa TV/ BBC/ ESPN/ CNN,Mimi Fawaz

Other speakers are; Olympic Long jump Gold Medalist (Atlanta ’96,) Chioma Ajunwa, Nigerian-born Spanish Track and Field athlete and also Olympic Silver Medalist in Hurdles (Sydney 2000), Gloria Alozie ; Anti-Doping expert Dr Akinwunmi Amao, CEO ‘The Bobby Taylor Company.’ PR, Branding and Marketing Expert, Bukky Karibi Whyte, and physiotherapist, Nigeria Women’s National Football Team (Super Falcons)expert on Physiotherapy and Nutrition, Adaeze Nwachukwu.

The event is supported by; Lagos state sports commission, FIDSON and WEMY INDUSTRIES.
