Rio Olympics; Meet Nigeria’s Aminat Adeniyi


Nigeria female wrestler, Aminat Adeniyi is a three (3x) times Africa champion in the 58kg category.

The 23 year old will be making her debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Aminat is ranked 13th in the united world wrestling ranking (July).


She won a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth games in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Ondo wrestler who won silver at the Africa/Oceanic qualifiers in Algeria is also won a bronze medal at the 2016 Spanish grand prix in Madrid.

Aminat is a graduate of Adekunle Ajasin University where she studied political science.
