Olympics: Nigerian Female wrestlers hunts for Olympic medals

The Nigerian wrestling Federation will On Wednesday gun for its first (1st) ever medal at the Olympics as three female wrestlers begin their campaign.

2014 Commonwealth gold medalist, Aminat Adeniyi (58Kg), commonwealth bronze medalist, Hannah Reuben (69Kg) and promising Africa champion, Mercy Genesis (48Kg) will be on the mat to show the level of preparedness of the wrestlers in the female category after weighing in took place Tuesday night.

Can these crop of wrestlers be the answer to Igali led Wrestling federation? Wednesday bout will determine the fate of 150 million Nigerians as hopes are high.

Aminat Adeniyi is a commonwealth gold medalist, three (3) times Africa champion and also won a Bronze medal at the 2016 Spanish grand prix held in Madrid, while Hannah Reuben is national champion and gold medalist at the Africa Olympics qualifiers

Mercy genesis on her part is an All Africa games champion and also won a gold medal at the Africa Olympics qualifiers.
