Taekwondo: Cisse bags Gold for Ivory Coast in Rio

Sallah Cisse (Taekwondo)

Cheick Sallah Cisse wins Ivory Coast their first ever Olympic gold medal in a crazy finish as he defeats Lutalo Muhammad (Great Britain) in the taekwondo event at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

In an epic finish, Cisse defeats Muhammad with a last second head kick to win gold in the men’s -80kg division.

A stalemate for the majority of the first round, Muhammad snuck in a head kick to end the round on top.

The win came right after some controversy earlier in the third round when Muhammad landed a shot that knocked Cissé’s helmet straight off.
